I’m Paul Doherty, a wedding photographer based in Donegal, where I live with my wife Brodie, along with our kids Daniel and Florence, and far too many cameras.
I’ve been photographing weddings for over a decade, but the truth is I’ve been obsessed with storytelling long before I ever held a camera. What I love most is the challenge of finding the honest, human moments in a day that can feel like a whirlwind, it’s the quiet glances, the bits you won’t even notice until you see them in a photograph later.
My approach is warm, observant, and documentary-led. I don’t direct much as I’d rather let your day unfold naturally and be ready for the things that matter. For me, photography isn’t just a job it’s the way I make sense of the world, and the way I preserve stories for the people who invite me into theirs.
